As the Consultant,M&A,Finance and Tax, you will be responsible for supporting the in-house M&A Function.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of M&A tax or international tax experience, as well as a professional designation or legal tax transaction background.
Responsibilities are as follows:
Preparing drafts of tax structuring documents, including drafting transaction steps and the associated tax considerationsDetermine tax considerations using research or 3rd party advisory as requiredReviewing finalized legal documentation and updating the actual tax consequences during the lead sheet processCommunicate tax consequences to the tax reporting and compliance team so they can be reflected in the tax provision and returnsReview transaction steps and determine accounting considerations based on research or 3rd party advisory as required.
(i.e., revenue recognition, purchase price allocation, business combination)Evaluate final legal agreements and deal terms for complex accounting issuesPrepare purchase price allocation calculations using internal models (IFRS 3) TMGCTJob Requirements:
3+ years of M&A tax or international taxProfessional designation or legal tax transaction backgroundExperience in, exposure to or knowledge of IFRS, internal controls (CSOX/PCAOB) and riskComfortable with a rapidly growing, fast paced and dynamic environmentSuperior analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex issues into actionable pointsAble to manage competing priorities, meet deliverables while building relationships with colleaguesAdept and experience with modelling, analytical tools in Excel, and presentation and data visualization skills with PowerPointApply The MasonGroup Inc MississaugaOntario
