Role Summary The EquipmentManager oversees the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment.
Occasionally they may be required to repair other resortequipment.
Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, the EquipmentManager will develop and execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and repair schedules for all such equipment, and maintain detailed records of service, parts and labour required.
The EquipmentManager will be responsible for the day-to-day equipment setup, as well as the long term scheduled agronomic practices.
Responsibilities - Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects and deficiencies in the various types of golf course and resort maintenance equipment - Ensure a high quality of cut on all surfaces through the incorporation of a sound and consistent grinding program and cutting unit maintenance - Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in developing equipment replacement strategies when annual capital expenditures are approved - Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies needed to perform necessary duties - Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program - Responsible for administrative duties such as all parts and supplies inventory and purchasing and receiving of parts and equipment - Assist in training staff on safe equipment operation and proper cleaning and re-fueling procedures - Maintain accurate daily service records on equipment - Ensure equipment maintenance facility and appropriate areas are clean and organized providing a safe work environment - Ensure that equipment is kept clean and is in safe working condition - Adherence to proper recycling and disposal of various oils, compounds and other fluids including waste oil, anti-freeze, etc.
- When required assist with agronomic tasks and course maintenance - Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program - Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required by the Audubon and LSRCA - Other duties as assigned FridayHarbourResort InnisfilOntario
