Based on the context of Opella’s recent spin-off and the creation of new holding structures, we are looking for a HoldingEntityController position;
EntityControllerHolding Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations France, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all accounting processes across french holdings, gathered into one Fiscal Group Integration.
Your main duties will include:
Overseeing all accounting operations of the holdings
Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements (French GAAP, IFRS)
Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory obligations (VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing, etc.)
Calculating and booking of the Income Tax of the Group in link with Affiliates.
Coordination/supervision of direct taxes with the support of the accounting team
Coordinating with finance teams to harmonize accounting practices
Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax authorities, consolidation team, controlling team….
Supporting M&A transactions, restructuring, and other strategic financial operations
Continuous Improvement
Driving process improvements and digital transformation initiatives (ERP, automation, etc.)
Updating and maintain procedures from accounting perspective for the tax Group;
Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities and potential automation
Complete compliance of processes, transactions and reports accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements if any
Main Professional Relationships
Ensure strong and efficient transversal relationships with other stakeholders, mainly:
Tax perspective :
string relationship with the Group Tax team strategic alignment on financial and tax matters and tax reports;
Accounting Teams (Holding & Subsidiaries) :
Supervision, coordination, and support within GBS ( Hub in Budapest); Standardization of accounting practices
Controllers / Financial Analysts :
Collaboration on reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Legal Department :
Coordination on corporate structure, compliance, and tax agreements
Treasury Department
Alignment on cash flow, intra-group financing, and cash pooling
Consolidation :
Presentation of financial results under IFRS standards
Skills
Technical expertise in tax and accounting , Strong analytical skills and strength of proposal
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues in a manner that is customer oriented.
Focused on business-value, with a flexible and versatile approach that takes into account and adjusts to develop recommendations that reflect shifting business priorities.
Strong process knowledge with ability to redefine processes from end to end to support Business needs
Transversal mindset and ability to work across processes, geographies, languages, cultures, business maturity levels
Strong Knowledge in project management, including overall IT system aspects, demonstrate ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution
High level of Interpersonal/ communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization
Team management:
Strong leadership, autonomy and management skills:
management of resources required ensuring timely availability of resources that have right skills, experience and capability.
Fluent in English and French
Background
Higher education in accounting/finance (DSCG, Master’s in Accounting, CPA/DEC).
Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting, ideally within a structured group or audit firm.
Leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and team spirit.
International background with exposure to multicultural environments.
