They are a leading provider of specialized coatings materials for industrial applications and markets.


For the European headquarters near Lyon, France, we are supporting the search for a newly created position of the Managing Director.

• Managing all relevant external and internal reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards, as well as conducting FP&A.


• Establishing and maintaining financial controls and reconciling all bank and cash accounts, including identifying, developing, and monitoring KPIs.


• Managing commercial areas including controlling, treasury, and commercial legal affairs.


• Liquidity management, including control and optimization of payment transactions.


• Serving as the primary point of contact for accounting and tax matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as departments of the parent companies, auditors, tax consultants, banks, insurance companies, tax authorities, and government agencies.


• Managing the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and developing strategic plans for financial operations.


• Managing current accounting software (Wavesoft) and overseeing planned transition to MS Dynamics 365.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a Controller or Senior Accountant role.


• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.


• Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data effectively.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate a high level of decision-making capabilities and implementation skills.


• A highly effective networker and team player with excellent communication skills, a serious, positive, and proactive attitude, a high level of flexibility, and a strong focus on goals and results.


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or similar, CPA or equivalent qualification.


• Business-fluent English and French.
