The Opportunity As part of our business growth strategy, we will replicate the success we have in offshore wind in the Asia Pacific region, here in Europe and in the United States.
EPI s USP is to have deep technicalknowledge in-house in the services we provide.
We have been representing our clients in acquisition of subsurface data for over 35 years.
We are looking for an experienced offshore wind siteinvestigation geotechnical or geophysical engineer to join our technicalsupport and operations team.
You will be the subject matter expert in our European Headquarters, managing our client representative offering for offshore wind, and have strong technical relationships with the wind farm developers and client engineering teams performing their siteinvestigation and wind farm design.
Ideally you will have offshore experience in geophysical or geotechnical survey and have relationships with other surveyors/client representatives, survey contractors, client engineering teams and wind farm developers in Europe.
You will ensure EPI s logistics team and the consultants you have selected deliver to a high standard of safety, quality, client and consultant satisfaction, using existing or setting up processes for efficient management.
This position offers scope for personal development, and we encourage self-directed thinking, focusing on developing existing skills and experience, and the sharing of these experiences with other team members.
Technical subject knowledge to be able to review project reports, or to support trouble shooting of operational issues in the field with the client and your consultants, is a must.
EPI is a highly efficient organisation, continually improving its automated processes.
You will be quick to adapt to new software packages and be a confident user of the Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint.
Is this role right for you? • A post-graduate qualification (MSc or PhD) relevant to geotechnical or geophysical related subject, e.g., Soil Mechanics, Geophysics, Geology or similar.
• 10 years industry experience with at least 5 years in offshore wind.
• Previous exposure to siteinvestigation processes / surveys both on and offshore.
• Commercial knowledge of tendering / contacting is desirable.
• Key business relationships in this subject area and the offshore wind industry.
• Ability to travel across Europe and US as required.
• You must possess suitable visas for working in UK headquarters during initial induction & training period.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
