Derry, NorthernIreland Competitive Salary + Benefits Introduction Astute are currently recruiting a StationManager/Plant Manager to join the 400MW CCGT and 56MW OCGT located in Maydown, NorthernIreland.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the power station including implementing the company strategy and driving commercial performance.
Roles & Responsibilities As the StationManager, you will be responsible for:
Leading the Plants management team and workforce Ensure compliance with environmental permits and other relevant legislation, Ensuring safety standards are met and achieving an incident and injury free workplace Leading on the development of targets and goals of the business Delivering on best practice plant performance in terms of availability, efficiency and reliability.
Drive innovation to achieve improvements in plant performance, focusing on the reliable provision of system services.
Managing and developing site personnel while contributing to the overall success of the plant.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience We are looking for someone with the following:
Candidates will ideally hold a HNC / HND or a Degree in Engineering (Power Plant / Process / Mechanical / Electrical).
A proven track record gained within the power generation sector.
This is likely to include experience gained at a Plant Manager / Operations Manager / Maintenance Manager level.
Working experience in a Power Station environment; CCGT, Biomass, Energy from Waste, CHP would be strongly considered.
Relevant working experience from Refinery, Chemical Plant or Steelworks etc would also be considered.
Those with plant commissioning experience would be at an advantage, although this is not essential.
A strong understanding of Health & Safety, relevant legislation (PSSR, LOLER, PUWER etc) and Environmental Permits will be required.
