Panoramic Associates are supporting a local authority in the West Midlands to recruit an Interim Head of Service for PublicHealth(BusinessIntelligence).
This is a 3 - 6 month contract role with a preference for Hybrid working.
This is a leadership role developing and delivering corporate business insights functions that focus on data, analysis of data and its use to create insight to inform Council strategy and service delivery.
Reporting to the Director of PublicHealth you will have the day-to-day responsibility for driving and facilitating an increased focus on the development of data-driven business insights that improve the understanding of needs in the Borough, support the setting of priorities and improve processes and the accessibility of data and insight that collectively improve tangible outcomes for residents.
Role responsibilities include:
Lead and provide a HUB core function that ensures the availability and technical ability in using appropriate data and intelligence to support officers and Members in setting priorities and delivering outcomes for residents.
Develop and lead a team with wide ranging skills in the collection, analysis and presentation of data across a variety of settings and for a range of purpose, including the development of the JSNA and needs assessments required for a Borough plan.
Lead corporate approach to the use of business insights in the development and delivery of both people focussed and place shaping services; in response to council ambition and priority setting for residents, aligning with the medium term financial strategy.
Develop and support the delivery of training programmes for the workforce in their use of data and business insights including training on the use of technical systems that manipulate and analyse data.
